Location Filming

Beeleigh Abbey is a unique setting for on-location filming.  It is particularly well-suited for medieval, period, and historic productions, especially those covering the Reformation.

A historic stone building with timber accents, small windows, and a tiled roof, surrounded by a well-maintained garden with flowers and shrubs, along a gravel pathway.

Features include a unique 12th-century chapter house, library, and calefactory. The vaulted ceilings provide stunning period visuals. Many of the spaces, particularly the chapter house, are flexible and can be rearranged to accommodate diverse room formats.

Externally, the formal gardens offer a stunning backdrop for both period and more modern luxury settings.  Similarly, access to the River Chelmer provides the perfect setting for water-based scenes.

Accessible for film crews

Beeleigh is located just 35 miles from central London. It benefits from good transport links by road, rail, and air. Its private location makes it a discreet and secure site.
